IMA Labeling at Interpack 2026
At Interpack 2026, IMA Labeling turns labeling into a strategic lever for performance and integration within the massive IMA Group Hall 17 hub.
IMA Labeling, part of the IMA Group and specialized in the design and manufacture of automatic labeling solutions, including Print & Apply technologies and modular labeling systems, announces the appointment of Steve Finn as Business Development Manager – North America, marking a significant step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its commercial presence and develop new business opportunities across the region.
The appointment reflects IMA Labeling’s commitment to strengthening its position in the North American market, particularly within the rapidly evolving warehouse automation sector, where increasing operational complexity, growing throughput requirements and the demand for seamless system integration are redefining the role of industrial labeling technologies.
With more than 12 years of experience in the labeling industry, Steve brings extensive market knowledge, a strong technical-commercial background and a deep understanding of the requirements of automated production and distribution environments. His expertise will contribute to connecting IMA Labeling’s technology portfolio with the needs of System Integrators, OEMs, automation specialists and end users throughout North America.
North America represents a strategic market for IMA Labeling, driven by continued investment in logistics automation, e-commerce fulfillment, distribution infrastructure and increasingly sophisticated material handling systems.
As warehouse and distribution operations become more automated and interconnected, labeling technologies are expected to deliver far more than accurate label application. They must operate reliably within complex automation architectures, accommodate different production speeds and product formats, and integrate efficiently with upstream and downstream processes.
IMA Labeling aims to address these evolving requirements through a combination of technological innovation, application expertise and closer engagement with the companies designing and implementing automated systems.
Steve’s appointment reinforces this direction, providing dedicated business development expertise to identify emerging applications, cultivate long-term industry relationships and position IMA Labeling as a strategic partner for advanced labeling integration.

Matteo Renzi, Sales Director at IMA Labeling, commented:
“North America is a key market in our long-term development strategy, and Steve’s appointment represents an important investment in how we approach its opportunities. Our ambition goes beyond expanding our commercial reach. We want to build meaningful relationships with the companies shaping the future of warehouse automation and demonstrate how labeling technology can contribute to the performance, flexibility and efficiency of increasingly sophisticated systems.
A central priority of Steve’s role will be the development of strategic relationships with System Integrators and automation companies operating in the warehouse automation ecosystem. IMA Labeling’s portfolio of Print & Apply technologies and modular labeling systems is designed to address a wide range of industrial applications while supporting integration into automated environments.”
Stewart Harvey, President of IMA North America Inc., stated:
“We see significant potential for IMA Labeling in North America, particularly as automation continues to transform the way products are identified, handled and distributed. The market increasingly values technology partners who understand not only individual machines, but also how those technologies contribute to the performance of an entire operation.
Steve’s appointment is an important step in bringing that expertise closer to the market. By strengthening the collaboration between IMA Labeling and IMA North America, we have an opportunity to build new relationships, engage with key industry players and offer customers access to specialized labeling technologies backed by the capabilities of the wider IMA Group. We are pleased to welcome Steve and look forward to supporting this next phase of development.”
In his new position, Steve will focus on identifying emerging market requirements, establishing relationships with potential technology and integration partners, and supporting the development of new applications for IMA Labeling’s solutions.
His responsibilities will include engaging with System Integrators, Distributors and automation specialists to understand their technical and operational challenges, explore potential collaborations and support the selection of labeling technologies suited to specific project requirements.
The role will also contribute to strengthening IMA Labeling’s market visibility, promoting its technology portfolio and creating connections between product innovation and the practical needs of the North American industrial landscape.
Steve Finn, Business Development Manager – North America at IMA Labeling, said:
“I’m excited to join IMA Labeling at a time when automation is creating so many new possibilities for the labeling industry. Having worked closely with this market for many years, I’ve seen how important it is for technology manufacturers to understand the complete application, not just the individual piece of equipment.
What attracted me to IMA Labeling is the opportunity to bring innovative technologies into conversations with System Integrators and customers who are constantly looking for better ways to design and optimize their operations. I see significant opportunities to build lasting partnerships by listening to market needs, understanding the challenges behind each project and working together to identify the most effective solutions.
I’m looking forward to connecting with customers, partners and industry professionals across North America and contributing to the next stage of IMA Labeling’s development.”
As part of his introduction to the North American market in his new role, Steve Finn will attend PACK EXPO International 2026, taking place October 18–21 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Steve at the IMA booth S-1720, alongside representatives from IMA Labeling and IMA North America.
